 Firstly, you should be aware that this clock requires you to plug it into a wall socket. There is no battery option, so this may limit where you can place it. The supplied power cable is only about 5 feet long (approximately). However, it can be operated via USB power. This greatly increases its usefulness.


The clear, non-glare time and date display is visible from the other end of the room, which is a great help to the visually impaired. With my eyesight, the time is easily ready from 30 feet away, with a line of text below and the date above, which is relatively small and beyond 15 feet I can't see.

The various colours of the text can be easily selected by pressing the buttons on the back or via the remote control provided. The various reminders are programmed in the same way. You can load photos via the SD card slot. I am not sure, but you can also load photos via a USB memory stick.

The brightness of the display can be set to various levels and you can change the level depending on the time of day, for example by reducing the brightness at night. Alarm and reminder volume levels can also be set to different levels.

Overall, this digital alarm clocks is well worth the money, although in the event of a power cut the date clock will automatically reset to keep the correct time internally. A battery backup option would be nice though.
